Funny event on the mountain

The owners of ski resorts like to attract people with different events.

I like this too, because it's usually fun for all.

This year they started season with a contest: "The most funny sled". And it was a fun!

We didn't attend, just spectated, but I took a few photos.

These ski resorts are very popular here. Many people go skiing on the weekends and even evenings.

I've been told that skiing is a sport for the rich people, but it is not so here, in my place. The tickets (you are paying only for lifts) are cheap.

Also they have special program for schools, which makes tickets cheap for students, and that's why schools can afford to make some lessons there.



There are special programs for small kids too.

The new ice rink

We had a small plot of land near to our building block.

It was not a nice place, some ugly bushes, some trash, and that's all.

One day we saw that builders paved the lot with asphalt, we were surprised. We had a bet on what it would be at the end.

And finally it turned out to be an ice rink!

We were happy. Despite the fact that we already have 3 ice rinks in our small district we are always ready for a new one.

It's good for us, because we strongly  believe that all the Olympic awards starts from the mass children sport.

We are especially happy that the new ice rink is so close.
We don't need to take a bag with skates anymore, we can go there straight from home with skates on.

The day they finished with the ice surface on that rink, I picked up my hockey team and we bought a few hockey sticks:

Sometimes I work as a horse for them, pulling them:

 From time to time we can watch games played by serious players, and it's also important for our motivation.

It's not only for hockey, of course. Girls can practice their figure skating as well:
